About Me

I am known as T.Parris, but T will do just fine ;)

I am 33 years young and London is my home.

My heritage is a rich blend of cultures; my Mother is from Grenada, while my Father's roots are in Holland and New Zealand. Surprisingly, I've explored every corner of this mix, except for Holland. But I plan to change that soon!

I juggle numerous hats, each holding a special place in my heart. I'm a Christian, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, and mother, to name a few.
As you would have already gathered, I am also a speaker and writer.

I come from a blended family. As the youngest of five siblings, with one sister and three brothers, and my dad's only child, I've been a tad spoiled. I'm a proud mother of two beautiful boys and was married for nearly a decade.

Currently, I am a part-time Project Coordinator in both Primary and Secondary schools. My passion lies in nurturing young people, backed by over a decade of experience in mentoring and counselling, both in pastoral and educational capacities.
My heart is particularly drawn to empowering women during this season of my life.

My academic background includes a degree in Psychology and Politics, and my favourite subjects in school were English, Art, Religious Studies, and Philosophy. I possess a natural talent for drawing and painting. A cinephile at heart, I enjoy movies of all genres, except horror—there's no room for that in my world! As a self-proclaimed foodie, discovering new restaurants is a cherished hobby. I find solace in nature, especially by the water, which has a therapeutic effect on my soul. A leisurely boat ride amidst lush greenery is my idea of pure bliss!

I'm a multi-faceted individual, difficult to sum up in a few sentences. I consider myself an ambivert, relishing my own company and treasuring quality time with my inner circle. With others, my sociability depends on the mood and vibe. Among strangers, I tend to be reserved and observant, but once I feel at ease, I can be quite talkative and engaging. Although I used to be the life of the party in my younger years, intimate gatherings now hold more appeal than large social events. I value connections deeply, and my friendships strike a balance between meaningful, profound conversations to moments of laughter and playful banter. Laughter is medicine, life is too short not to share a good laugh!

I'm a contemplative and analytical thinker, traits that sometimes get the best of me. My expressiveness and articulation are second nature to me. I'm a bit of an organization enthusiast, relying heavily on my trusty tick lists in my Samsung notes. I can even be a bit of a clean freak, to the extent that I've enlisted the help of a cleaner to manage my anxieties around mess.

Above all, I'm profoundly loving, dedicated, and fiercely loyal, especially when it comes to my chosen family. I'm a work in progress, and I face my share of struggles. My harshest critic? That would be me. However, I'm actively working on giving myself the grace I deserve.

As you join me on this journey, I'm certain you'll get to know me even better...
